BESTIAS

Some images which have penetrated the memory, return again and again. Images of violence as an act of despair.

A woman slips through the fingers of the police, a man is struggeling,sitting on the floor and crying, wishing to escape from two other men who are dragging him behind. Another man, in an almost inhuman position, is being pulled by his hair,trying to free his head from the claws of the beasts.

Men and women survive by escaping from the beasts. However, all this is hardly visible. The images are like a stream of the unconscious mind, like colours spurts, like almost physiological movements.

The Images of human beings trying to to survive. We are in the world and with the eyes in the night.

BESTIAS

Los gestos de la desesperación. La acción para sobrevivir.

Una mujer se escurre de las manos de un policía, un hombre resiste, se revuelca haciendo contorsiones para escapar de otros dos hombres que lo arrastran. Otro, en una postura casi inhumana, arrastrado de los pelos, intenta librar su cabeza de las garras de las bestias.

Algunas imágenes vuelven insistentemente y quedan impregnadas en la memoria. Y como flujos del inconsciente, como chorros de color, en movimientos casi fisiológicos, se revelan.

Imágenes y sonidos registrados durante las manifestaciones de los dias 19 y 20 de diciembre de 2001 en Buenos Aires.
